“One-county small groups” is a small group venture facilitated by Brooks Evangelical Free church to facilitate Christian fellowship. A pastor provides the teaching, and a small group leader hosts the event in their home. The small groups are built around the fellowship of believers as outlined in Acts 2:42. We believe commitment to God and each other builds a community that God grows in character and number.
What you can expect in a small group time is fellowship, a teaching, and prayer time together. The fellowship takes place at a small group leaders home. Your leader will communicate a day and time that works best. Depending on the leader this could be monthly, bi-weekly, or even weekly. When you meet, you will pray together engage in a Bible teaching created by one of the pastors. We believe that prayer is the core of a small group and so expect to pray together and for each other in your time. The study is designed to facilitate group conversation around a specific topic about the Chrisitan faith. Engaging in this study will help you gain a better understanding of God’s word through the teaching, the perspective of members in your group, and through reading Gods word in community.
